Women and their rights!

Working for women empowerment in Delhi has been one of Lex Alliance Foundation’s major commitments. Before knowing about 'empowerment of women', we should understand what 'empowerment' stands for. 'Empowerment' refers to the capacity of a person, from which this qualification comes in, in which he/she can take all the decisions related to his\her life. Women empowerment means to empower women to take their own personal independence and self-judgment. There is a high level of gender inequality in the country where women suffer from the bad behavior of their families as well as outside of their home too. Women need development in many areas like in health and nutrition, sanitation, child care facilities, etc.
Women should know there fundamental and social rights for their own benefits.

•   There should be respect and dignity towards Women.

•   Have total independences of their own life and lifestyle inside the home and also outside at their work.

•   They should make their decision, by their own choice.

•   They should have a high social respect in society.

•   They have equal rights in society and other judicial works.

•   They should not be discriminated while providing any type of education.

•   They should select their own economic and financial choices by their own.

• There should not be any discrimination between woman and man while giving jobs and employment.

•   They should have safe and secured Working location with proper privacy.

In the past few years Indian government has implemented several constitutional and legal rights to remove gender inequality and bad practices against women. Now, the society is getting more aware of women's rights, which has created many self-help groups and Lex Alliance Foundation is working in the same direction for women empowerment in Delhi. To create an environment for women, it is necessary to stop such bad practices; everyone needs constant support, including women.
